The Alaska peninsula is the farthest south, and extends to the Aleutian Islands.
The other major peninsulas are:
- the Kenai Peninsula to the northeast of the Alaska Peninsula
- the Lisburne Peninsula along the upper west coast of Alaska
- the Seward Peninsula south of the Lisburne
- the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta south of the Seward
kenai
Seward is farther south than Kenai, Alaska.
two of the peninsulas in South America are the La Guajira peninsula and another one isthe Taitao Peninsula.?
No, Florida has one too. Actually, Michigan has two peninsulas
Actually, Alaska is not a country, it is one of the states that belong to the United States of America.
Alaska, Florida, and although it isn't actually a state of the USA, Baja California (NOT the USA California. Baja is the peninsula South of Cali and is a state of MEXICO) Delaware is almost entirely on a peninsula - but it shares that peninsula with part of Maryland.
With regard to the most common answer, Florida is the state that can most commonly be referred to as a true peninsula.Only a few of the US states are actually peninsulas (surrounded by three sides of water) the most obvious answer is Florida, but many forget that lakes are also large bodies of water and the Great Lakes surround the state of Michigan. Finally the great state of Alaska is overlooked often because it is forgotten compared to the lower 48, and when one thinks about it, the Arctic Ocean to the North and The Pacific to the south and west, it is also a giant peninsula. To consider but really not included in this answer:Many states have portions of their state which are peninsulas. California has many peninsulas (San Francisco), Washington, Massachusetts, all have large peninsulas within their state, as well as New Jersey. One state which may be considered by few to be a peninsula entirely is Louisiana. Water to the east, west, and south.

No there is not. But there might be one farther south.
the second one.
You are correct! The large area of land bordered by the Bay of Bengal, Thailand and the South China Sea, usually called IndoChina or SouthEast Asia and is about 762,000 square miles making this landmass one of the three largest peninsulas in the world (after Arabia Peninsula and the Indian Subcontinent). I would suggest adding the southeast Asian body of land bordered by the Bay of Bengal, Thailand, and the South China Sea. Similar to Arabia this is a large land mass composed of multiple countries and is surrounded by water on three sides. It also is connected to a larger mass of land. Jane Poulter
Alaska is home to several peninsulas. One of the largest is the Kenai Peninsula, which is 150 miles long. A peninsula is a piece of land that is surrounded on three sides by water, but still attached to the mainland.
