Who played Maria Callas in Master Class?

I saw it in 1996 after Zoe Caldwell left the Broadway run she originated. It was sperb and starred Patti Lupone. Later Dixie Carter gave the role a whirl. I saw it again yesterday at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. It was as brilliant as the original and starred Barbara Walsh who stepped in at the last minute to replace Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway of the Enterprose) who bowed out. I read that after the Broadway close it was done "on the road" with Faye Dunaway. Roger
