Archbishop Laud was a religious reformer in England in the C17th. He was made Archbishop of Canterbury in 1633 by King Charles II. The two of them shifted the church in a new direction, replacing the Calvinist ideals of the early C17th with ones that were more Arminian.
The church in the Renaissance condemned and persecuted witches because they believed witchcraft to be a form of heresy and devil worship. Witches were seen as a threat to Christian piety and morality, as well as to the social and political order. The church's teachings also associated women with the devil, which contributed to the widespread belief that most witches were female.

no there are good witches and bad witches, theres many type of witches such as satanic witches and pagan witches, etc. i know from experience my neighbor was a wiccan witch and she would go to church and hear christian music and she would have all these rare items. like i went to her house and she had a big star with words on it and like numbers, letters.
