Why are many wiccans vegetarians?

That is the same as asking if people in general are vegetarian. Some Wiccans are most definitely vegetarian or vegan, but a good number are also steak-lovers and burger fanatics. Just like everyone else. :-)

It is said that they are vegetarians because a) they have no livestock or b) they have a god that proclainms no meat in his ralm. This is not a for-sure answer yet, because no one has found out yet. We are still looking for answers!

Not all Wiccans are vegetarians. Wiccans can and do raise livestock. There is no god in Wicca that forbids the eating of meat. Many Wiccans can and do eat meat. It is a personal choice, not any specific rule or teaching of Wicca.

Some Wiccans do believe that they feel better physically, and have clearer spiritual channels when they abstain from meat. As a nature-based religion, Wicca teaches respect for all living beings. Yet because the cycle of nature includes the very natural process hunting, killing and eating prey, that cycle is also celebrated in Wicca.
