Yes it can. A man in Australia accidently drank Anti freeze which contains a deadly toxin Ethylene glycol and if you injest only a 3 to 4 ounces it can kill you. The man was rushed to the hospital and was immediately given hospital grade alcohol intravenously. The basic reason for this is the alcohol travels to the kidneys and prevents the ethylene glycol from being absorbed by the kidneys, thus preventing irreversible damage.
