Several factors are involved in passing or absorption of alchohol, if you look at it like this, usually a can of beer or bottle (12 oz) consumed all at once, may or may not register more than .10 - .08 body size, pre-existing health issues (Diabetes, weak kidneys or kidney disease,) whether active or not, usually an hour and a half, will pass if you urinate and consume alternate liquids, but becomes a scaleable difference with the more you consume. Two to three beers, takes two to three times as long to flush out especially consumed in a short span of time. Also if you have eaten prior to alchohol consumption plays a big role when consuming beer.
