yeah
If you cut a worm in half, the half with the head on it, the tail will grow back. It will NOT become two worms!!!
it would continue to live because worms have 4 hearts. :) But if you cut a worm in half and it doesent keep moving its because that's really just half of a worm that someone already cut in half
Planarian worms have the ability to regenerate into two new worms if cut in half because of their amazing regenerative capabilities. Each half is able to regenerate the missing parts, resulting in two separate worms.
no you will not get 2 earth worms only the top half of the worm will live if you cut it in half because it's tail will rejenorate while the head on the other half of the worm can not.
Contrary to popular belief, if you cut a worm in half, it will not regrow into two separate worms. The part with the head may survive and regenerate its tail, but the other part will likely die. It's not recommended to cut worms in half as it can cause harm to them.
IF you cut a worm in half, the bottom half will die because it cannot grow a new head. However, the top half will live and heal.
Yes, you did incorrectly spell "half". When a worms body is severed, you will usually just have two pieces of a dead worm, though if the worm was cut below the head, sometimes, they can regenerate the tail. Worms do not reproduce in this way.
Yes, Worms can because they are so bendy they are able to have sex by themselves
a planaria worm will grow back in to two separate worms What it says below is not true kind of. Today I cut a worm in half, at first I thought I killed it but then I noticed The tail side started moving around. You know a cats tail well it was moving like that but really fast around the ground. The head side just took off like a normal worm through the grass. I took both sides of the worm home and noticed after 3 or 4 hours that the head part grew its tail back and it was now just a short wimpy worm. The tail part did not grow back though, it simpley died after 3-4 hours. So now you know that if you cut a worm in half it will not make 2 worms just simpley heals it self after hours and the other half stops moving... :) The worm dies a very painful death. It is pure myth that it creates two worms as if you take a time to look up what makes a worm you will see it does indeed have a top and a bottom, so to speak. So, don't rush out and think if i cut this worm in half he will have a little friend to hang out with....coz he wont! :)
I would cut the worm in half and hold it above its beak it might grab it or just drop it in the birds mouth
If you cut a planarian worm in half, it has the ability to regenerate and develop into two new worms. Planarians possess remarkable regenerative capabilities due to their high concentration of pluripotent stem cells. In contrast, most other worms, such as earthworms, can regenerate certain segments but typically do not create two complete organisms from a single cut.
The worm has alot of cells and can be cut in a buch of peices and still be alive just like starfish if a seafish's hand breaks a new hand grows in place and a new body grows for the hand and the same thing with worms if u cut it in half there will be two worms Hope this helped.
