It's possible that the asparagus juice contains an indicator chemical which is reacting to the acid in the lemon juice. (Note that I don't know exactly which indicator is involved, or even if this actually happens; I'm just offering an explanation for the phenomenon you say you've observed.)
It would remain red, red litmus paper only reacts to blue in the presence of a base. Lemon juice is acidic and thus wouldn't turn the paper a color. If blue litmus paper was used in the lemon juice it would turn red. Consequently dipping blue litmus paper in a base won't change the color because it does not react with bases, only acids.
The lemon juice keeps the apple from oxidizing.
Red because the lemon juice is acidic.
This color change occurs due to a chemical reaction between the ginger's compounds (anthocyanins) and the acidic lemon juice. The anthocyanins in the ginger react with the acid to change color, resulting in the pinkish hue.
Because it drank pink lemon ad
Lemon juice contains citric acid so blue litmus paper dipped in lemon juice will turn red indicating that it is acidic.
It will turn either blue or green, both a hue of blue. The reason of this is that Red Cabbage Juice is an indicator, which is used to see wether an object or chemical is an acid or a base. If the object is an acid it will turn a hue of pink, and if it is a base, it will turn a hue of blue. Which is why baking soda mixed with Red Cabbage Juice will turn blue or green.
Lemon juice contains citric acid so blue litmus paper dipped in lemon juice will turn red indicating that it is acidic.Blue litmus paper become red in acidic solutions (lemon juice contain citric acid).
Lemon juice is not a clear juice, you can buy lemon juice that has been filtered to remove the cloudiness, but I don't think it tastes the same, myself.
Red cabbage can turn red when mixed with lemon juice due to a change in pH level. The anthocyanin pigments in red cabbage react to the acidity of lemon juice, causing the cabbage to turn red.
