A milkshake doesn't melt like ice cream because it is a mixture of milk, ice cream, and flavorings that are blended together. While the ice cream component can melt, the other ingredients help maintain a thicker consistency. Additionally, the emulsifiers in the ice cream help stabilize the mixture, preventing it from separating or melting as quickly. Thus, a milkshake retains its shape and texture for a longer time compared to solid ice cream.

This is like one of my favorite riddles! Well if there was ice in the milkshake, then the first guy must've drunken(? Dranken? please fix this) so fast that the ice didn't have time to melt, meaning the poison was in the ice. The second died because the ice could melt and the poisons were released into the milkshake, killing him after he drank it.
