It is uncertain whether any animals died in the Boscastle Flood of 2004. However, there were no widespread or major reports of any loss of life, animal or otherwise.
It rained heavily for a long period of time, (Prolonged Rain) , it rained an exceptional amount of rain in 8 hours, 2 inches in 2 hours! Also, Boscastle is right on a floodplain in a narrow valley, so it will flood more easily than in other places.
Yes, a 100-year flood is more catastrophic than a 50-year flood. The term "100-year flood" refers to a flood event that has a 1% chance of occurring in any given year, while a "50-year flood" has a 2% chance of occurring in any given year. Therefore, a 100-year flood is rarer and typically results in more severe consequences in terms of damage and impact than a 50-year flood.
The flood plain of a river is an area very near the river which floods regularly, generally every 1 to 2 years. The 100-year flood plain is a larger area which has a 1 in 100 chance of flooding in any given year. Over the long term this would average out to a flood every century.

None! Just 75 cars, 5 caravans, 6 buildings and a few boats were washed away to the sea; about 100 homes and businesses were destroyed; trees were uprooted and debris were all scattered over a large amount of areas. In mass flood lasting from mid-afternoon until 2:30 AM, a fleet of 7 helicopters rescued about 150 people clinging to trees and the roofs of buildings and cars. But luckily no-one has reported any serious or severe injuries or any deaths.

The Bangladesh floods where quite bad because when the river started to flood most of the houses were destroyed and most people salvaged parts to build a new house at one point there were stuck on a bankment with water each side but the bankment was quite high. The Boscastle flood destroyed the village, mostly becuase there were 3 rivers running into one it was in a v-shaped valley and it was sloped also the rainwater at the top of the hill also flowed down the valley to boscastle into the river bursting the banks because the river could not hold any more water and plus there was debris under the bridges which was obstructing the water.
