If we are talking about the propellants in an aerosol can, then these do pollute the air, however this has been improved recently, as the CFCs which damaged the ozone layer are not used any more. The aerosols that comes from the can (i.e. the particulates suspended in the gas) probably also pollutes the air. In a way all aerosols are pollutants.

Carbon dioxide in the air is both necessary and a concern.

At higher levels( above 300 ppm) it promotes the Greenhouse Effect leading to climate change. At normal levels it is essential for plant growth.

At extreme levels it can cause deah by asphyxiation

Aerosols used to contain chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), but back in the 1970's the problem was addressed by propellant changes.

The propellant used to force the aerosol out of the can was a CFC, which damaged the ozone layer. Aerosol cans now use a hydrocarbon gas, nitrogen or air depending on the material to be sprayed. CFC's are only still used in very few applications (e.g. Asthma inhalers) but the number of these exceptions is limited.

Pollution is too much of anything that causes environmental harm. We have measured steady rises in CO2 consistent with our consumption of fossil fuel. We have also measured the impact of those gases on global temperatures. There is a measurable cause and effect relationship, and in that sense greenhouses gases may be considered pollution.

The contents of an aerosol need to be forced out by a propellant. CFC's used to be used as propellants but these were found to contribute to thinning of the ozone layer of the earth's atmosphere. This resulted in more UV rays coming through the ozone layer and causing an increase in health problems such as skin cancer and cataracts. Nowadays ozone friendly propellants are more commonly used and it is best to look for 'CFC free' on the can.

They emit horrific greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide & methane that pollute the air.

How do wildfires pollute the air?

Fire releases carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. These gases increase the greenhouse effect and can lead to climate change.

What gases cause air pollution

How do greenhouse gases warm the lower atmosphere?

Greenhouse gasses harm the Earth because they pollute the air and makes our atmosphere thinner. When that happens, it is letting more and more heat in our Earth that drought will happen and water will be lost.

How do synthetic fibers pollute air?

synthetic fiber can pollute air when it is burnt and being a petroleum product it can produce toxic gases in the air

How are green house gases beneficial?

Greenhouse gases are not beneficial. They are the result of humans driving cars, flying planes, and making factories that pollute...a lot!

How does the greenhouse gases affect the air quality?

no

What is the concentration of greenhouse gases in the air?

The concentration of greenhouse gases in the air, largely water vapor, carbon dioxide and methane, are causing an enhanced greenhouse effect which is global warming. The amounts of greenhouse gases in the air are:5% Water Vapor0.039% CO2Trace (less then 0.001%) small amounts of other gases (methane, nitrous oxide etc)Water vapor absorbs heat like other greenhouse gases.

Does burping or farting pollute your air?

Gases produced by ruminant animals such as cows contain significant amounts of methane gas and are stated to be a source of greenhouse gases so yes. For humans intestinal gases contain almost no methane.

How is the climate affected by the greenhouse gases?

Greenhouse gases can be very hot, so once they get out into the air, the climate gets hotter.

What is an example of an energy resource that does not pollute the air with greenhouse gases?

Any of the sources of renewable energy (solar, wind, water, hydro, tidal and wave, geothermal, ocean thermal, biomass, biofuel and hydrogen).

How has human activity lead to an increase in the amount of ultra-violet light reaching earth?

Think about all of the emissions/gases we pollute our earth with. These gases are called greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases damage different types of layers of our atmopshere (which include troposphere, startosphere, ozone layer, mesophere, and themosphere).
