Yes, if the architecture is on the surface. Yes it does, and a very serious one. Acidic rainwater corrodes stonework and masonry, rapidly increasing wear and deterioration in buildings. Different types of stone are affected to different degrees (for example, buildings or structures made of soft stone, such as sandstone, are a lot more badly affected than those built of harder stone, such as granite etc.) but ALL stonework is damaged to some degree or another. Marble is especially quick to deteriorate.
