There are incidents where mining have been considered the trigger of earthquake.

It is not a large problem though.

Where as humans can dig tunnels and cause ground to weaken, even a collapse of big structures cause nothing more than a slight tremble. Not comparable with a big mother nature earthquake.

Such a tremble close to a fault-line can however trigger a larger proper earthquake.

Most likely, this kind of earthquake would have happened at some time sooner or later anyway. The chances are that a triggered earthquake will be less intense than a "normal" one.
