Going farther up into air, pressure decreases. Going down, pressure increases. When you think about it, more air is pressing down on you when you are standing on earth because more is on top of you. When you are up in the air, there isn't as much air pressing on you which shows that there isn't as much pressure. The same concept applies when under water; The farther you go under, more water is pressing on you than when you are more towards the surface which=more pressure (underwater).

Does air pressure increase or decrease as you move up into the atmosphere?

Air pressure decreases as you go up.

As the altitude increases does the barometric pressure increase or decrease?

As altitude increases, barometric pressure decreases. This is because the air pressure decreases with increasing altitude, as there are fewer air molecules in the atmosphere exerting pressure on a given area.

In divergent nozzle pressure will increase or decrease?

In a divergent nozzle, pressure will decrease as the flow area increases. This is due to the conservation of mass principle, where an increase in area causes a decrease in velocity and thus a decrease in pressure according to Bernoulli's equation.

Does air pressure increase or decrease as you go higher?

Air pressure decreases as you go higher in the atmosphere. This is because there is less air above pushing down. As altitude increases, the air becomes less dense, resulting in lower pressure.

What would increase or decrease net filtration pressure?

An increase in blood pressure, blood volume, or permeability of the filtration barrier would increase net filtration pressure. On the other hand, a decrease in blood pressure, blood volume, or an increase in plasma protein concentration would decrease net filtration pressure.

Does pressure increase or decrease as it goes deeper in the earth?

Increase.

Will increase the volume of the gas?

An increase of the temperature or a decrease of the pressure.

When you inhale does pressure decrease inside or increase?

The act of inhaling is to create low pressure in the lungs, causing the air in the atmosphere to rush in as it is moving from a higher pressure (outside in the atmosphere) to the lower pressure (created in the lungs). However the fact that air does move into the lungs means that there is no net change in pressure.

How will a pressure increase affect a gaseous system?

According to Boyle's Law of Pressure-Volume Relationship, an increase in the pressure of a gas will decrease it's volume. And according to Charles's Law of Temperature-Pressure Relationship, an increase in pressure causes an increase in temperature.

Does water pressure increase or decrease as you go deeper into the ocean?

increase

Does pressure decrease or increase in the ocean?

Pressure increases as you go down.

What happen to yield of sulfur trioxide if you increase the pressure and you decrease the pressure?

Increasing the pressure would increase the yield of sulfur trioxide because the reaction involves a decrease in volume. Decreasing the pressure would decrease the yield of sulfur trioxide because the reaction volume would increase.
