How electromagnets are used to make electricity is because of the magnetic field that they give off around their core produces a small amount of electricity and if it is big enough it would give off enough power to generate a home. ( but who wants a magnet the size of an elephant in their back yard?!!!?)
Electromagnets are used in the following types of devices:
1. Solenoids (S= solenoid device)
2. Door bells (S)
3. Electric motors - stator magnets, or rotor magnets
4. Electromagnets in scrap metal yards - lifting sorting.
5. Self winding clock mechanisms (S)
6. Voltage Transformers - Primary/secondary windings
7. Automobile door locks (S)
8. CRT style Displays/TV's - Beam aiming yokes
9. Door latches on Glass office doors
10. Emergency brake actuators on elevators (S).
Electromagnets are only magnetised while the electrical current is switched on.
Ferro-magnets, permanent magnets, temporary magnets, and electromagnets. Ferro-magnets are magnets that are magnetic at a higher temperature than room temperature. do not quote me on that. permanent magnets are magnets that are always magnets, they are the kinds you use a lot. Temporary magnets are things that are magnetic in an extrenal magnetic field. Last but not least, electromagnets. Electromagnets are coils of wire around a cobalt, nickel, or iron. When ou run electricity through the wire, the core and wire become magnetic.
Loud speaker usually has two electromagnets (or a permanent magnet and an electromagnet). When an audio signal in the form of an electric signal with desired frequency is applied to both electromagnets in opposite direction at same time so that they act as magnets with same polarities facing. This makes them repel with the given frequency, thus producing sound.
Some magnets are used to make electric motors and generators. Some magnets are used for car doors, door hinges, computers, hovers, blenders, CD players, washing machines, fax machines, escalators, elevalators, loud speakers, credit cards,tv,fridge doors, toys, jewelry, and elecric toothbrushes, magnets are used in junk yards to make new cars too, magnets are used in roller coasters. These are called electro magnets and you can turn them on and off.and they are also used in the new unistation 360 witch is awesome.
I think people use the Ganges delta for resources.
no there is no use of electromagnets in iron box
-- laboratory experiments -- party tricks
CAT Scan does not use electromagnets, its MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) which uses Electromagnets to produce images of the patient's body.
no
what they use at work are computers TADA!!
Inside of electric motors are electromagnets and permanent magnets. In a metal junk yard large electromagnets are used to pick up metal. In MRI's large electromagnets are used for imaging.
Electromagnets are used in many ways. Televisions use electromagnets to direct the electron beam, whereas loudspeakers and earphones use electromagnets to push the diaphragm forwards.
Electromagnets are primarily used to produce electricity Any large scale facility with lots of instruments will definitely have electromagnets in it. Generators in the powerhouse uses big electromagnets to produce AC voltage which is then transported for the commercial or residential use.
yes
the window of the car
The ancient Greeks understood magnets but since they did not have a source of electricity, they did not use electromagnets. They did make compasses.
Electromagnets are not harmful to people.
