The kayapo Indians are a tribe situated along the xingu river with a population of over 7000 . They use the surrounding amazon rainforest for resources such as water, meat, fish, fruit, wood, medicanes from 650 different plants and body paints to mark them as warriors usually red and black. Jewellery can be made from fabric and animal teeth however although the forest has been used by the kayapo they are clever as to not damage their surroundings.
