Obviously carbon dioxide and oxygen cannot be combined by just sticking them in a bottle together, that would not chemically combing the atoms and create a compound. You would need to chemicaly combine them, the easiest way to heat them together.

What is formed by heating phosphorus with oxygen gas?

Do you mean heating Phosphorus THEN putting it in oxygen gas? Because the reaction that will create is glowing and also condensation that causes vapor. The description of the gas is opaque and white. Not really sure what the gas is tho...

Why would carbon dioxide not put out a magnesium fire?

This is because once the magnesium starts to burn, the uninhibited chemical reaction dominates the fire's need for oxygen (carbon dioxide usually puts fires out by displacing oxygen). The magnesium will continue to burn until there is nothing left to burn.

What is potassium and nitrogen and oxygen combined?

Oh, dude, when you mix potassium, nitrogen, and oxygen together, you get the chemical compound potassium nitrate, also known as saltpetre. It's commonly used in fertilizers, fireworks, and even some toothpaste. So, like, next time you're brushing your teeth, just remember you're basically putting a little bit of fireworks in your mouth. Cool, right?

How is climate change a problem for the carbon cycle?

Climate change affects the carbon cycle by increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which in turn intensifies the greenhouse effect and leads to global warming. This disrupts the balance of carbon being stored in the atmosphere, oceans, and terrestrial systems, impacting the capacity of these reservoirs to absorb and store carbon effectively. This can lead to feedback loops that exacerbate climate change.

What effect does carbon dioxide has on burning splint?

it goes out A glowing splint needs oxygen to basically keep glowing. It is a small fire in a way. When the glowing splint is added into an environment full of carbon dioxide, the splint goes out. Carbon dioxide in this case smothers the flame restricting the use of oxygen in combustion thus putting the flame out.
