How long does a climate change last?

We can see the pollution created by us the human beings. We are using this natural world only for our benefit. We are using the vehicles which are giving out lots and lots of carbon emissions. By seeing all these activities around you in your country or state or city or street, do you think that Global Warming will ever stop?

If you think so then tell me that who is going to change this selfish world into that old natural world?

Until we stop polluting the environment. Which would be like NEVER!

If we don't do anything about it, it won't end. the way we are using fossil fuel and burning and polluting it will not end!
Till us humans can find out a way to stop it.
Nobody knows it, but is is coming for sure, according to experts.

This depends upon its cause. Climate currently is changing due to humans releasing 30 billion tons of heat trapping gas into the atmosphere each year. No one expects this trend to reverse until the earth reabsorbs all that excess gas.

The re-absorption is leading to ocean acidification, harming marine life. Plus, it takes thousands of years for nature to pull back out what we have been pumping in. If we stopped burning all fossil fuel immediately, we would expect earth's temperature to continue rising for some decades to come as climate continues adjusting to the new level. If earth's temperature began falling as fast as it has risen, it would take 60 years to get back to what we expect is the natural level.

Instead, if we stopped forcing CO2 right now, it would be centuries before the temperature even could begin to fall. We expect this climate change is essentially permanent. We are over 400 ppm of atmospheric CO2 now, and will pass 500 ppm before 2050. If we could significantly halt all CO2 emissions by then (less than 35 years from now), we anticipate nature would absorb the excess at the rate CO2 rose and fell prior to the industrial revolution--roughly 5 ppm per thousand years.

From 500 ppm to 350 ppm is a change of 150 ppm (parts per million). 150/5 = 30, or in other words, it would reasonably take the earth 30,000 years to adjust naturally back down to 350 ppm.

There are big economical advantages to releasing CO2, given that fossil carbon is a relatively cheap and abundant energy source. The cost of fossil carbon is deceptive in that it entails enormous environmental impact, the full of extent of which won't be realized for decades to come.

Maybe about 100 years after we stop burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas), and have changed completely to renewable energy, and have replanted the great forests of the earth. Even then there will be enough carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to continue warming the earth for decades.
