About 40-45 inches a year mostly in the winter. Systems typically roll in from the Strait and stall against the mountains for about a week, break for a couple days then the next one comes in. Sometimes the wind shifts and spills down from the Interior, bringing (typically) clearer and cooler weather during the winter - it's those systems that bring the rare snowfalls.

During the hot months of summer, it's common for lawns to go brown for lack of water.
