I believe that the ice was cut in winter and stored in underground ice houses. Certainly the british aristocracy did this. In America this was commercialised, and the ice was delivered to ordinary homes that had ice boxes, which is what they still call refrigerators. My grandmother had a box outside of her kitchen which had a metal gauze door in it. Somehow through evaporation/ condensation it kept her dairy products and other food colder than the ambient temperature, it really worked. I believe that a woman has patented a similar device for sale in third world countries for people with no electricity.
Depends on the starting temperature of the liquid being frozen, the melting point of the liquid being frozen, and the temperature of the freezer being used to freeze the liquid. Of course it depends upon the temperature of the water being placed in the ice trays, and the temperature of the freezer into which the trays are placed ... but mine, room-temp tap water into a stack of 4 ice trays ... about 10 hours.
The clouds that are made of ice crystals are the cirrusclouds.
Before the Ice Age, the land masses covered with ice included parts of North America, Europe, and Asia. These areas were mainly located around the polar regions and experienced extensive glaciation during the Ice Age.
They are made of bolth because they are vertically developed. The bottom is made of water, and as they develop higher, become ice.
Cirrus clouds are primarily made out of ice crystals.

Ice cube trays are traditionally used to hold water within a freezer for the purposes of making ice cubes. Other uses for ice cube trays are to make homemade popsicles; putting a fruit juice instead of water results in popsicles made from fruit juice. Grape juice and orange juice work particularly well.
