This kind of question has caught my imagination as well-- at first it sounds like a joke. If an object is green because it absorbs all the frequencies of light except green, and the green light is reflected away from the object, doesn't this lead one to wonder about the actual color of the object? The object is rejecting the light the color of which we attribute to it. I think we have to conclude that regardless of the nature of the object, if an object reflects green light we assign to it the color green. However a more intriguing possibility is that color itself is a psychological phenomenon, in a way analogous to the pitch of sounds. Perhaps color doesn't really exist as a thing, but is the psychological interpretation that our brains give to light of various frequencies. I think we could then conclude that no objects are in fact colored at all, but can simply be categorized by the frequencies of EMR that the object absorbs and reflects. Of course, humans that we are, we can still go on enjoying the experience of color no matter what it is. Related to this is the fact that in western cultures, the usual interpretation of relative pitch is that as you move toward the left on a piano keyboard, for example, the pitch is going 'down', and as you move to the right the pitch is going 'up'. But this is not universal. Some cultures interpret pitch in just the opposite way. There is nothing inherently 'up' about 'upper' registers of a keyboard. ___________________ I think now that I may have mis-understood the questioner's original intent. Grass and many other plants appear green because of the chlorophyl in them. Plant material without chlorophyl would have a variety of color depending on the plants, but one indication might be the wonderful colors we observe in deciduous forests in the fall.
Copper sulfate will turn universal indicator blue or purple due to its acidic nature.
hiw nature changes her garments from summer to rainy season
Light reflects off the Earth's surface because it is made up of various materials that have different reflective properties. When light hits the Earth, some of it is absorbed by the surface, while the rest is reflected back towards the source or in a different direction. The amount of light reflected depends on the angle of incidence, the nature of the surface, and the wavelength of the light.
Most people think that Cupric sulfate or Copper(II) sulfate, is blue in colour. But actually it is not. Blue colour in Copper(II) sulfate is due to the presence of Water molecules in it. This form is called Copper(II) sulfate Pentahydrate[CuSO4.5H2O], which most people see. If it does not have any water molecules in it, the thing is in pure state and is White in colour. This form is Anhydrous Copper(II) sulfate[CuSO4]. This form is rarely seen, because it can absorb water itself from the nature and become blue in colour. So from this we know that very pure Copper(II) sulfate is not blue, But its Pentahydrate form is blue.
Universal indicator turns blue or purple in ammonia solution. Ammonia is a weak base, so it causes the indicator to change to a blue or purple color on the pH scale. This color change indicates the basic nature of the solution due to the presence of ammonia molecules.
My favourite colour of the day is green because it colours nature.

Delta green is often depicted as green in color because it symbolizes the military and security forces, as well as nature and growth. Green is also associated with balance, healing, and renewal, which can reflect the idea of a group like Delta Green working to maintain the balance of power and protecting against unnatural threats.
