Yes, acid rain can be deadly. It is known to damage houses and cars. The worst part is that it is known to kill plant life, animals, particularly aquatic life, and to threaten people by poisoning the environment around them. Acid rain is cased by the pollution of the air, particularly though the incineration of materials that release compounds of sulfur and nitrogen. These combine with moisture in the air to create low pH precipitation (acid rain), and the acids attack things as noted. A link can be found below. "Acid Rain" is generally quite dilute ... maybe 0.001 to 0.0001 M nitric or sulfuric acid, which still measures pretty far into the acid portion of the pH scale. Acid rain has a pH comparable to that of Tomato Juice (about 4), and wouldn't do much to your skin at all, though it would probably sting your eyes quite a bit.
