If there was no natural greenhouse effect we would all be frozen to death. We need the heat that is trapped by the greenhouse gases to keep us warm and alive.

But the increasing amount of methane and carbon dioxide is causing an accelerated or enhanced greenhouse effect, lifting the temperature of the earth and causing global warming. Global warming is then causing climate change.

So some greenhouse effect is good. Too much is certainly bad. So technically, the Greenhouse effect is good but also bad.

Is the greenhouse effect good for the Earth bad for the Earth or both good and bad Explain?

The greenhouse effect is both good and bad for the Earth. It is essential for maintaining a habitable climate, as it keeps the planet warm enough to support life by trapping heat from the sun. However, human activities have intensified this effect, leading to climate change, extreme weather events, and environmental degradation, which pose significant threats to ecosystems and human societies. Thus, while the natural greenhouse effect is beneficial, its enhanced version due to human intervention is detrimental.

Is the greenhouse effect necessarily bad?

We need some greenhouse effect (good) but not too much (bad). The natural greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm. Otherwise, we would freeze, the warmth of the day would disappear in the night. The carbon and water cycles keep enough carbon dioxide and water vapor in the atmosphere to support this. The accelerated greenhouse effect (which is happening now from man's deforestation and burning of fossil fuel) is the bad effect, causing global warming.

What does recycling and greenhous effect have in common?

Recycling is a good habit. It decreases greenhouse effect.

Trapping of heat in the earths atmosphere by certain gases is known as the?

greenhouse effect

What is a good sentence with the word greenhouse effect in it?

The greenhouse effect is when gases get trapped inside the earths atmosphere and cannot get out so the sun heats them up and the earth gets warmer. just like a greenhouse

What is good and bad effect of hair spray of human?

good effect: keeps hair in place bad effect: chemicals that are in it

What is a sentence with greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.

How do you use The greenhouse effect in a sentence?

the greenhouse effect is a global phenomenon.

The trapping of heat by a planet's atmosphere is called what?

The trapping of heat by a planet's atmosphere is called the greenhouse effect. This occurs when gases like carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere trap heat radiating from the planet's surface, leading to a warming effect.

What do humans do to effect the greenhouse effect?

The greenhouse effect keeps us all warm enough for life. The enhanced greenhouse effect causes global warming.

How is the earth's greenhouse effect good for the earth?

The normal, natural greenhouse effect is good for the earth. The earth's carbon and water cycles move carbon dioxide and water vapour in and out of the atmosphere. This supports the greenhouse effect which keeps the earth warm (about 13 degrees Celsius on average) and has done for millions of years. If there was no greenhouse effect we would all freeze to death. The accelerated greenhouse effect is what is happening now because of all the extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere because we burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas for industry, transport and to generate electricity. And also because we have cut down so many trees that used to soak the carbon out of the air. This is causing unbalance to the earth's carbon cycle and is causing global warming and climate change. So the enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is bad for the earth.
