Well since limestone is a buffer, (meaning it balances the pH of something else) maybe using a limestone quarry would be a good way of creating more limestone:)
The advantage of living near a limestone quarry is that there are many employment opportunities in the quarry site. The other advantage the building of houses is cheaper because of the easier availability of limestone which is one of the building materials.
A quarry is a type of open-pit mine used to extract minerals or rocks from the earth's surface. It typically involves the use of explosives to break up the material for extraction. Quarries are commonly used to produce building materials such as limestone, sand, and granite.
The duration a limestone quarry can produce limestone depends on the size of the deposit, the rate of extraction, and the demand for limestone. Some quarries can operate for decades or even centuries, while others may deplete their resources sooner. Sustainable quarrying practices and responsible resource management can help extend the lifespan of a quarry.
Common rocks that are quarried include granite, marble, limestone, sandstone, and basalt. These rocks are used for various construction purposes, such as building materials, countertops, monuments, and decorative elements.
A quarry is a large, deep pit in the ground. From a quarry, you get stone, rock, construction aggregate, riprap, sand, gravel, or slate. Marble, granite, limestone, and sandstone are cut from slabs and removed from the quarry.

A quarry is any large pit dug into the ground from which rocks are mined to be used in any number of ways, usually building materials. Therefore, a limestone quarry would be a quarry dug solely for mining limestone. In the United States, the state of Indiana is full of limestone quarries.

Surely it should be either "You fly over the huge limestone quarry" or "you flew over the huge limestone quarry" or "You have flown over the....."

quarry
This past week I visited a limestone quarry that has been mining limestone in one place for 40 years. In that time, they will have mined millions of tons of limestone. Usually nearly ALL the rock is limestone, so the answer will depend on the size (area) of the quarry, how deep you can mine, and presence of any "trash" rock.
Because limestone is a very intimmadate stone that you can break up easily.

Depends on the quarry. Some haul by truck, some haul by a conveyor belt.
