melting temperature of sugar is 145 C and sulfur is 115 C there is 30 C melting temperature difference so we can melt sulfur easily to separate from sugar.

take a bowl and add mixture, set the bowl in oven and set 115 C for one or two minutes. after the time pass. immediately pour the melted sulfur into another bowl with hanger.

you will get some elemental sulfur some will solidify do this again at least you gain all elemental sulfur.

How could you separate sulfur from sugar?

One way to separate sulfur from sugar is by using a solvent extraction method. Sulfur is soluble in carbon disulfide, so adding this solvent to the mixture will dissolve the sulfur. Once the sulfur is dissolved, it can be separated from the sugar by filtration.

Separate sulfur and sugar from a mixture?

To separate sulfur and sugar from a mixture, you can use a process called filtration. First, dissolve the sugar and sulfur mixture in water; then filter the mixture. The sugar will pass through the filter paper while the sulfur remains behind.

What is mineral group for sulfur?

Sulfur is an elemental mineral.

How many atoms are in a sulfur molecule that has the elemental formula Sg?

A sulfur molecule with the elemental formula Sg does not exist. It is likely a typographical error. The atomic number of sulfur is 16, so a sulfur molecule would typically contain 8 atoms (S8) in its elemental form.

Is sulfur a homogenous mixture?

Pure sulfur, as a powder or solid material, consists of only sulfur atoms and is therefore referred to as "elemental".Therefore elemental sulfur is not a mixture. However it is homogeneous as it has a completely uniform composition.

What are the steps to separating sulfur iron and sugar?

To retrieve the iron just use a magnet. To retrieve the sulphur just put the remaining mixture in water and dissolve it. Then using a filter paper filter the solution, the sulphur which is not soluble will remain on the filter paper and to retreive the sugar from the solution just re-crystallize it.

How can you separate a mixture of sulferplus sand plus sugar plus ironfillings?

Magnets would remove the iron. sugar is water soluble now you have sulfur and sand mixed. Apply heat sulfur will burn before the sand.

Is S8 an elemental formula?

No, "S8" is not an elemental formula. It refers to a molecule of sulfur made up of 8 sulfur atoms bonded together in a ring structure. Sulfur is a chemical element represented by the symbol "S" on the periodic table.

Would you expect to the formula S8 to represent a compound to an element?

S8 is the symbol of an allotrope of sulfur, a chemical element - not a compound.
