  • Ultisol - soils that are heavily leached.
  • Oxisol - soil with heavy oxide content.
  • Histosol - organic soils.

Other order schemes may include:

  • Andisols - volcanic soils, which tend to be high in glass content.
  • Gelisols - permafrost soils.
