How are rock platforms formed?

constant waves action against the sea cliff will first cause a wavecut notch which gradually increase in size. when it become too large to support the cliff aboves it, some of the cliff face give way and fall into the sea. as this process continues, a rock platform is created.

What are the effects of sulfur and phosphorus in steel?

Sulfur decreases ductility and notch impact toughness especially in the transverse direction. Weldability decreases with increasing sulfur content. Sulfur is found primarily in the form of sulfide inclusions. Sulfur levels are normally controlled to low levels. The only exception is free-machining steels, where sulfur is added to improve machinability.

What triggers global warming?

All the emissions such as CO2 from burning fossil fuels are overwhelming the natural greenhouse effect and making it an accelerated greenhouse effect. So basically the world is heating up. So with that the polar ice caps are melting and the sea levels are rising? So in theory the only way we can survive is to evolve into fish and fish capable of withstanding extreme temperatures as when you notch the temperature by 10 Celsius or so most life starts to die as it is not capable of surviving those conditions. However this is avoidable if you switch to renewable energy, eat less red meat and stop cutting down forests there is still hope for life on earth.

Why is lathanide and actinide not part of the periodic table?

Besides the periodic table, an electron chart of the elements exists. The periodic table shows the broad outline. The electron chart goes into greater detail. The periodic table lists elements according to electrons in their outer shell. As elements get more massive they get more protons and electrons. Each time they add a proton, they jump one notch in the periodic table. When they add the electron, it is a valence electron and it affects the chemical properties. There comes a point when elements start adding electrons when the electrons are not added to the outer shell with the other electrons in the valence shell. The chemical properties do not change as the elements get heavier. It is extremely difficult to use chemistry to separate the elements in that group. If you had an electron chart, you would see the electrons followed a different pattern. That is why the lanthanides and actinides are set apart from the other elements on the periodic table. According to their chemical properties, they would all need to be put into one box.
