I'm not sure there are really many (or any) pros, most of what could be considered a pro, such as saving endangered species was a problem caused by Man to begin with with deforestation or introduction of foreign animal invaders to ecosystems. Some day we may bring back extinct animals (or plants, but unlikely) and then we'd be truly benefiting the Earth. If some day we're able to keep large asteroids or comets from hitting Earth and destroying it that would be a major "pro" but so far we don't have that technology either. I guess one "pro" could be that we humans can make deserts bloom and actually alter the terrain and reforest areas destroyed by fires, volcanoes or human caused deforestation, but at the same we often cause desertification and deforestation too. The amount of deforestation going on in the tropical regions where there's a diversity of life not seen anywhere else is one of the worst travesties caused by Man; animals and plant species that will go extinct or become endangered that we may not even know of. Some of these animals and plants may have even contributed to new medicines or technology. One "pro" humans often unintentionally do is the sinking of ships creating artificial reefs that harbor life. Also, some nuclear power plants along the East coast and Florida create warm bays and estuaries for manatees. Maybe some day we'll make the Moon or Mars bloom but I seriously doubt it, or if we do it'll be small scale "greenhouses" and so expensive and unlikely to succeed we'd eventually give up.
Pros of non-renewable energy include reliability and ease of production, while cons include environmental pollution, contribution to climate change, and depletion of finite resources like coal, oil, and natural gas.
Pros of living on Mars: Possibility of new scientific discoveries and advancements. Potential for new opportunities and growth in technology. Opportunity to expand human presence beyond Earth. Cons of living on Mars: Harsh environment with extreme temperatures and radiation. Distance from Earth poses challenges for communication and logistics. Limited resources and lack of natural environment for sustaining life as on Earth.
Pros of uranium-238 include its abundance and energy potential for nuclear power generation. However, uranium-238 is not fissile and requires enrichment to be used as fuel, which can be costly and raises proliferation concerns.
Pros: Potential for discovering life beyond Earth due to its subsurface ocean, unique geological features like icy crust and geysers, protected from radiation by thick ice shell. Cons: Harsh environmental conditions such as extreme cold and high radiation levels, challenging and expensive to establish and maintain a human presence, limited access to natural resources for sustained living.
Pros of oil shale energy include abundant domestic supply, potential for energy independence, and the ability to extract oil from unconventional sources. However, the cons include high production costs, environmental damage from extraction methods, and the release of greenhouse gases during processing.
Pros - resistant to diseases and insects Cons Loss of taste Long term effects on humans not fully known

There are no pros of pollution. We are destroying our Earth, does that seem like a pro to you? The cons? We might not live very long and if we do our children may never see the country, forests, plains, rainforests, animals! How would you like that life?
