∙ 14y agoAccording to the National Weather Service, lightning causes an average of 62 deaths per year in the United States. According to recent estimates, there are about 2.5 million total deaths per year in the United States.
So each person who dies in the US has about a 0.00248% chance of that death being caused by lightning.
Considering that there are about 306 million people in the US (303.5 million of which do not die each year), you have about a 0.0000202614% chance of dying each year by a lightning strike. That's about 1 in 5 million.

Yes, you will die. Don't do it. It's just like sex.Don;t do it, you will get pregnant and die.ANS2:The act of showering during a thunderstorm will not prevent you from dying, as your question is worded. It does, in fact, improve your odds of being struck by lightning. Being struck by lightning is not always fatal but, it frequently is. I have no idea where getting pregnant fits in with this but, it is probably best to avoid that sort of activity in the shower during a thunderstorm, too.

Of course not! Seek shelter if it is lightning, especially near water. Most places near water have a lightning alarm to let you know to seek shelter. To avoid being struck by lightning you should do a couple things: 1. Stay out of bodies of water, lightning is attracted to water. 2. dont be in an open area (common sense here) 3. Try to be in a house, car something where you cant get wet and lightning cannot get to you. To sum it all up be smart and dont do stupid things.
