initial torque settings as advised by monotorque head gaskets are 29, then 59 then 69 ft/ lbs, the most important thing is to keep them all even. Tightening sequence is done in a CLOCKWISE MOTION. Start with the center or 3rd bolt drivers side, then do passenger side 3rd, then do passenger bolt one in front of one done (2nd), then the opposite (2nd drivers), move towards rear, do 4th bolt drivers side then 4th passenger, 1st passenger etc etc until all done.

As for rocker gear clearances, I was advised the 4 bolts only need to be tight, about 20-25 lbs/ft max.

As for tappets, I was advised to adjust to 8 thou on intake, 12 thou on exhaust when all is cold. The reason for the larger clearance on the exhaust is due to a higher concentration of heat at the exhaust valve than the intake, causing a reduction in valve lash as the materials change in density as the heat affects them. Good luck
