A lot of people might say China, USA, GB etc, but the answer is actually Scandinavia (i.e. Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland etc). This is because the first countries create the most acidic gases. These gases then rise into the atmosphere to be dissolved into rain. People usually think that this rain just falls back down again, but prevailing east-going winds blow the rain towards the Scandinavian regions. Look up the state of Swedish forests if you are unsure of this!

Canada. There is a big problem with the coal burning power plants of the great lake area. Acidification of lakes affects fish breeding.

Germany. The black forest is dying due to acidification of the soil.

LONDON. The marble statues and inscriptions are being eroded. Acid causes the marble to turn into carbon dioxide.
