there is no such thing. Potassium permanganate is a metallic purple crystalline substance that is solid at room temperature and can not be made a gas because it decomposes at 240 C. Long before it would become a gas. It dissolves in water rather well so you could make a water mixture and spray it but that would not be a gas. If you mix Potassium Permanganate with formaldehyde it creates a mild tear gas.

Which gas is given off when potassium permanganate is broken down?

Oxygen gas is given off when potassium permanganate is broken down. Potassium permanganate decomposes into manganese dioxide, potassium hydroxide, and oxygen gas when heated.

Which gas decolorize potassium permagnate?

Sulfur dioxide gas is known to decolorize potassium permanganate because it is a reducing agent that converts permanganate (purple) to colorless manganese(IV) oxide.

What happens to the ions when potassium permanganate are dropped into water?

When potassium permanganate is dropped into water, the ions are solvated by the water molecules. This results because potassium permanganate is water soluble. Thus, the solid compound is separated into aqueous ions.

What is the reaction between potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide?

When potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide react, they produce oxygen gas, water, and manganese dioxide as products. This reaction is known as a redox reaction, where the permanganate ion is reduced and the hydrogen peroxide is oxidized.

What happens when potassium permanganate is mixed with hydrochloric acid?

When potassium permanganate is mixed with hydrochloric acid, the potassium permanganate will react with the hydrogen ions in the hydrochloric acid to form chlorine gas, manganese dioxide, and water. This reaction is exothermic, meaning it releases heat energy. It is important to handle this reaction with caution due to the potential production of chlorine gas, which is harmful if inhaled.

Does potassium permanganate and copper sulphate undergo sublimation?

No, potassium permanganate and copper sulfate do not undergo sublimation. Sublimation is the process in which a substance transitions directly from a solid to a gas without passing through a liquid phase. Potassium permanganate and copper sulfate undergo a different process known as decomposition when heated.

What dangerous chemical is released when hydrochloric acid potassium permanganate?

Chlorine, a very toxic gas. (War gas in WW-I).

What gas does Potassium permanganate give off when it is cracked and turned black?

Oxygen gas in evolved. 2KMnO4 ---> K2MnO4 + MnO2(s) + O2

What is the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and potassium permanganate?

When hydrogen peroxide is mixed with potassium permanganate, it results in a vigorous reaction that produces oxygen gas, water, and manganese dioxide as products. This reaction is exothermic and can be used as a demonstration of a redox reaction.

When the interaction between solid potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide happen what percentage posed by oxygen gas from the product mixture of water vapor and oxygen?

When solid potassium permanganate reacts with hydrogen peroxide, it produces oxygen gas as one of the products. The percentage of oxygen gas in the product mixture will depend on the stoichiometry of the reaction and the amounts of reactants used. This percentage can be calculated based on the reactants' molar ratios and the balanced chemical equation for the reaction.

When potassium permanganate is dissovled in water and heated what is the color of the disillate and original solution?

The original solution is an intense violet color because it contains dissolved potassium permanganate. The distillate is clear (colorless) because only the water distills and the potassium permanganate is left behind, as it is non-volatile.

A colourless gas in trace amounts of air?

Helium is a light colourless gas that does not burn
