1st place: Olympia, Washington -- 63 average annual rainy days

2nd place: Mobile, Alabama -- 59 average annual rainy days (and first place for most rain with 67 inches average annual rainfall). The study the link below refers to only includes the 48 contiguous states (not Hawaii or Alaska, nor any of the territories). According to the same study "Several cities in Alaska and Hawaii actually receive more than 100 inches of rain a year, but were not included in the study."

Which state in the US has the most rainy days each year?

Not Seattle, WA! Look it up online, there are several places to find info. 1st - Olympia, WA w/63 rainy days a year (on average) 2nd - Mobile, AL w/59 rainy days a year (on average) Since Seattle, Olympia and Mobile aren't "states" -- the answer is Washington. Following closely behind Washington, is Alabama. If you count any precipitation (so rain AND snow) the list changes, the following is a list of cities and their average days with rain or snow, each year: Cleveland, Ohio 156 Portland, Oregon 153 Seattle, Washington 151 Columbus, Ohio 138 Detroit, Michigan 135 Boston, Massachusetts 127 Indianapolis, Indiana 126 Milwaukee, Wisconsin 125 Chicago, Illinois 124 Louisville, Kentucky 124 New York, New York 121
