The greenhouse effect. This is due to the emission of large amounts of carbon dioxide. Just like a greenhouse, carbon dioxide prevents heat from being radiated effectively into outer space. Thus, it causes the earth to warm.
add. Whilst tabloid attention fastens on dramatic events such as melting glaciers, flooded cities, etc, the real effects are more subtle.
If the air temperature rises slightly, then more water vapour will be absorbed into the air, and this will be deposited elsewhere in amounts greater than traditional. This same process will obviously transfer great quantities of energy (remember latent heat of evaporation?) and winds may be expected to increase, which will mean even more water vapour is absorbed. This increase in vapour emission will ensure that the ocean temperature rise is moderated. And the oceans are huge.
So one may expect increased rainfall, causing flooding. Landslides may increase due to increased water loading. And since there is a natural air transfer from the tropics to the regions of higher latitude, this increase of water vapour may increase snowfall in these high latitude areas.
Though over-ocean air temperatures may rise, the oceans themselves will change only slowly.
While it is impossible to predict when the next ice age will occur with certainty, some scientists suggest that we are about due for another one based on historical patterns. However, human-induced climate change may affect the timing and severity of the next ice age.
The age of the earth is a point of controversy. Some say the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old. Others now believe that the earth is much older.
Scientists have determined that the Earth's magnetic field is actually composed of an ecosystem of the microscopic organisms called Gorbuscha. They tend to stick together and contain little bits of magnetic matter, causing what scientists used to call the magnetic field. However, we know better now (thankfully!). These organisms compel the Sun's solar rays and protect us all from burning up. It also traps in heat so we on Earth don't die from the lack of heat. They, the so called "magnetic field" feast on tiny particles in space, mainly puny bits of debris from meteors, planets, stars, etc. Also, scientists have discovered that these little guardians of Earth are quite unpleased from us, humans wearing down the Earth and causing animals that the Gorbuscha have been with for so long to become extinct. Some scientists reason that if we don't stop our destruction of Mother Earth, these protectors'll let us shrivel and become extinct ourselves. This is what I've heard during a sleepover with friends, hope this helps! :)
Scientists use the magnetic properties of some minerals as evidence of past changes in Earth's magnetic field. These changes can provide insight into the Earth's geological history, including continental drift and past climates.
In some places, Earth`s crust thins enough to see mantle.
Scientists can never be sure of the exact temperatures at the center of the Earth, because we can not directly travel to the center of the Earth. Some scientists believe it is around 12,500 degrees Fahrenheit.

The tilt of the earth causes seasons and some scientists believe that it may be part of long-term climate change.
Some scientists believe it was a large meteor that crashed into the earth disrupting the food resources and proper atmosphere, which led to the large dinosaurs dying off. Some scientists believe it was a large meteor that crashed into the earth disrupting the food resources and proper atmosphere, which led to the large dinosaurs dying off. Some scientists believe it was a large meteor that crashed into the earth disrupting the food resources and proper atmosphere, which led to the large dinosaurs dying off. Some scientists believe it was a large meteor that crashed into the earth disrupting the food resources and proper atmosphere, which led to the large dinosaurs dying off.
some scientist are atheist and obvioulsy do not believe that god created the world, so they believe that the world started when particles came together and wiola! the earth came to be...
Scientists believe that the earth will be hit with a solar storm in the near future as the sun reaches it peak in its cycle. Some believe that satellite communications and power grids can be severely effected or knocked out completely.
Given the size of the universe, it is almost impossible for Earth to be the only place where life has developed. Some scientists also just want to know what is there; they don't believe or disbelieve, but want to find out.
Earth is similar to Mars because we know that life is possible on earth and some scientists believe that life is also possible in mars because it has some things which is also present in Earth and is needed for all living things.
Yes and No. Some scientists think that aliens don't exist, some do. If they do, then they also obviously believe in them on other planets. What do you think? I think that they do exist, why would us humans be the ONLY ones on planet Earth? Positiveness of Answer: 100% jokypants1
(look at the very last sentence if you just want to know when). I believe that the Moon won't completely depart from the Earth (at least not before we all die), but scientists say that the Moon is, and has been departing from the Earth for along time (about 1.5 cm every year). Anyways some scientists believe that it will completely depart from the Earth and fling into outer space in several thousands of years.
Evidentaly yes because some actually proposed this method!! I don't think it's true though.
