'Going green' usually means becoming eco-friendly. That means not harming the environment and recycling etc. If your school, workplace, or even home is 'going green' just remember the 'Three R's'

In this context the term green refers to environmental responsibility. So to build green is to design whatever it is that you are building to be energy efficient and therefore have a relatively small carbon footprint.

Going green helps the environment to some extent. The real question is not whether it helps, but whether it helps enough. More needs to be done. But going green is at least a start.
