You have it wrong way round, the atmosphere of Earth was created by the life on Earth. 4000 million years ago the atmosphere had no oxygen and was full of CO2, Nitrogen and Methane. However life came into existence in this atmosphere and over time has altered the atmosphere to what we have today. Therefore the composition of the atmosphere would not appear to be critical to life.

What are ways the atmosphere makes life on earth possible?

The atmosphere acts as a protective shield by absorbing harmful radiation from the sun. It also regulates the temperature of the Earth by trapping some of the heat, which helps to maintain suitable conditions for life. Additionally, the atmosphere contains oxygen, which is essential for respiration in many living organisms.

How does the atmosphere make condition on earth suitable for living things?

The atmosphere makes conditions on Earth suitable for living things in several ways. It provides oxygen for respiration, regulates temperature by trapping heat, and protects against harmful solar radiation. Additionally, the atmosphere helps maintain the water cycle by holding and distributing water vapor, which is essential for life. Overall, the atmosphere plays a crucial role in creating a habitable environment for organisms on Earth.

Where is atmosphere located?

The atmosphere is located right above Earth. Or the circle around Earth that protects it from all different kinds of things. And makes life on Earth suitable for living.

What is the percentage of nitrogen in the atmosphere?

Nitrogen makes up about 80% of the Earth's atmosphere.

What factor makes life possible on earth?

The presence of water is a key factor that makes life possible on Earth. Water is essential for various biological processes, acts as a solvent for biochemical reactions, and helps regulate temperature. Additionally, Earth's distance from the sun and its atmosphere also play crucial roles in creating conditions suitable for life.

CO2 makes up what percentage of atmosphere?

CO2 makes up approximately 0.03% of Earth's atmosphere

What is the gas that makes up 21 of earth's atmosphere?

Which element makes up 78 percent of the earth's atmosphere?

Nitrogen

How does earth atmosphere make conditions on earth on suitable for living things?

REASON ONE: ATMOSPHERE Earth has a breathable atmosphere. Oxygen is the gas that is required for the life of most creatures. This is present in Earth's atmosphere, along with nitrogen, and in water, along with hydrogen. Oxygen is constantly put into the atmosphere by plants and trees. Fortunately, Earth's atmosphere does not contain much carbon dioxide, a poisonous gas which makes up most of the atmosphere of planets like Venus and Mars. In densely-populated areas, carbon dioxide is more present. This is because cars and factories produce it. This causes the air to be polluted. The Earth's atmosphere is kept on the planet by its pull of gravity. Mars and Mercury are too small to keep atmosphere. As a result, Mercury has no atmosphere, and Mars' atmosphere is very thin, containing gases which have not managed to escape into space yet. Earth's atmosphere is thick enough to prevent poisonous rays of radiation from getting through it (this is what has happened on Mars).

What if the earth has a thicker atmosphere?

makes the earth warmer.

What is the gas that makes up about one-fifth of earth's atmosphere?
