Well, the earth would pretty much....end. But, the chances of that happening is VERY unlikely. We cant even reach the 3rd layer of the Earth...
Every single life on earth will be destroyed in an instant and the earth core/all the lava will probably pour out. Other wise the earth might explode a big chunks of earth will hit other planets :~[]lol
S-waves cannot travel through the liquid outer core because it cannot support shear stress. Instead, they are either absorbed or reflected when they reach the outer core boundary, causing a shadow zone on the opposite side of the Earth from the earthquake where these waves are not detected.
The core of the earth is made of Nickel/Iron and it is very hot. If you could see it it would be glowing white hot like Iron in a blast furnace, you would not be able to see its colour in reflected light. However, we do know what colour it would be when cooled because some meteorites that hit the earth are pieces of the core of planet like bodies (with Nickel/Iron cores). These formed and were then broken apart by collisions during the formation of the solar system. These Nickel/Iron meteorites are silvery grey in colour when cut open to show a fresh surface. (see related link below).
meteorites are rocks that hit the earth meteors have not
It gets harder, OK lets think of it like you head your brains the core, skull's the mantel and you hair/head skins the crust; your Skull (Mantel) is there to protect your Brain (core) because if you brain gets damaged you "could" died if the Core gets damage (more like destroyed) than the world would die. A long way of saying if it didn't get denser it would be more likely to be damage. if a meteor hit and there ways no density than the meteor would cut threw the earth like a Hot Knife threw butter.(Like most answers Don't quote me on them this is just my opinion and the best one...see what i did there and the best one is a another opinion.)
If an atomic bomb were to hit the Earth's core, it would likely not cause a catastrophic chain reaction or destroy the core itself. The core is composed of molten iron and nickel, which are extremely dense and would absorb much of the energy from the explosion without significantly affecting the Earth's overall structure.
The nuke that hit nagasaki was known as the fat man
They will hit Earth if, in their orbit around the Sun, they happen to cross Earth's orbit.
the earth would be destroyed
it could be the end of the earth
Nothing.
Depends from where
From the magma from inside of the earth came out and when it hit the air it cooled creating plutons that are igneous from the core of the earth.
It would be better to ask what would happen if Earth hit a star, as stars are much larger than Earth is. The planet would be vaporized by the intense heat.
If a comet hit the Earth hard enough and went through the core, the whole Earth could fall apart.
It is quite common for small meteors to hit the Earth. Larger impacts by an asteroid or comet are also possible but happen much less often.
