What if the world was flat?

The most concrete evidence to suggest a spherical Earth can be found on photographs of Earth from space. Magically (well no), artificial satellites can circle the planet. You can travel around the world in any direction and end up where you began at the start of the travel. If you enjoy sailing and you happen to be at sea it is possible to view high mountains far in the distance before lying ground.

No solid or densely-gaseous astronomical body smaller than an entire galaxy or larger than an asteroid, is "flat". They are all spheres because they form by fairly regular accretion of material by their own gravity around their own centres of mass. Asteroids tend to be less regular.

If you look at a map, or a picture of Earth from outer space, it looks flat, but it isn't. A picture is 2 dimensional, it doesn't show depth. If you were to look at a globe, however, you can clearly see Earth is round. It only looks round because you can't SEE the sides. If you look at a cube in a certain way so that all you can see is one side, it will look 2D, but that doesn't mean it is.
