the wins are to do with the heating and cooling of air by the sun, warmed air rises creating high pressure below it, warm air cools as it rises and so the colder air moves into the low pressure areas creating wind as it moves from high to low pressure. hope this helps

How does earths rotation influence the movement of global winds?

The influence of earths rotation is called the Coriolis effect. The coriolis effect causes wind to curve instead of going in a straight line.

Wind direction is determined by the Earths rotation?

Wind direction is primarily influenced by the pressure gradient force, which is caused by differences in air pressure. The Coriolis effect, a result of Earth's rotation, deflects wind to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere, but it does not directly determine wind direction.

Is wind earth's main source of energy?

No, the Earth's main source of energy is the sun. Wind energy is generated as a result of the sun heating the Earth's atmosphere, which creates temperature differences and causes air movement, ultimately leading to wind.

What happens when solar wind approaches earths atmosphere?

When solar wind approaches Earth's atmosphere, it interacts with the Earth's magnetic field and can create auroras in the polar regions. The solar wind can also perturb the Earth's magnetosphere, leading to geomagnetic storms that can affect satellite communications and power grids.

What is magnetosphere and how does solar wind affect the earths field line?

The magnetosphere is the region surrounding Earth where its magnetic field interacts with the solar wind, a stream of charged particles emitted by the Sun. The solar wind can compress and distort Earth's magnetosphere, leading to fluctuations in the magnetic field and the formation of phenomena such as geomagnetic storms and auroras.
