The outer planets, or jovian planets, AKA the gas giants are what they say they are. Made of gas with a solid core, these giants orbit the sun outside of the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The are all cold and despite seeming blue, Neptune (or any of the others for that matter) has no water.

Part Jupiter's atmosphere includes Great Red Spot, a storm bigger than Earth. Jupiter also has of the four largest moons named Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto

Saturn has rings around it. Saturn's atmosphere made up mainly of clouds and storms, but they are less dramatic than those on Jupiter. it's also the lightest planet.

Uranus axis is at a 97 degree angle, meaning that it orbits lying on its side.

Neptune was discovered over 150 years ago in 1846. Since that time it has still has not made a complete orbit around the sun, because one Neptune year lasts 165 Earth years.

they are all very rocky and dense all are not gass planets. They are all smaller than the outer planets. One more thing, if pluto was a planet still, it would be classified as rocky and dense also even though it is an outer planet. I hope it helped
