By how much have carbon dioxide emissions increased its atmospheric percentage over the past 250 years?

CO2 levels were about 260-280 ppm immediately before industrial emissions began and did not vary much from this level during the preceding 10,000 years. The concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in Earth's atmosphere has reached 391 ppm (parts per million) as of October 2012. ((391-260)/391)*100 = 33.50 Thus there has been a 33.5% increase in the levels of CO2 in Earth's atmosphere over the past 250 years.

What elements does chlorine react with?

A mixture of chlorine and oxygen gases does not react. However a photochemical reaction can occur when a mixture of gases is irradiated with UV light. This forms the chlorine monoxide, ClO a molecule with an odd number of electrons, a radical. This is highly reactive. Chemists have synthesised a number of chlorine oxygen compounds but these do not involve the reaction of the gases. There are a number of compounds known, chlorine dioxide, ClO2, dichlorine monoxide, Cl2O, dichlorine hexoxide, Cl2O6; dichlorine heptoxide, Cl2O7. All of these are reactive compounds. Additionally there are a number of chloroxy anions, such as hypochlorites, ClO- , chlorites, ClO2- and perchlorates, ClO4-

Are greehouse gasses good or bad?

Yes and no. We need greenhouse gases in our atmosphere to keep the earth warm enough for human life. So the right level of greenhouse gas is good. Too much greenhouse gases are bad for us. Carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluoridated gases are the gases which trap sunlight and heat from the surface of the earth and so they are used by the greenhouse effect to heat the atmosphere. This leads to overheating in the atmosphere which in turn leads to global warming.
