What will happen at the end of global warming?

"After global warming ...?" If global warming stopped now, there is still enough carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere to warm the earth by one or two degrees Celsius more than now. Life will be very uncomfortable then and many people will have died.

If global warming stopped now, it would mean that we have stopped burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and are managing on renewable energy sources (solar, wind, hydro etc).

But global warming will continue until we move entirely to renewable energy, and that won't happen for a few years yet. Why not? Ask business and government why we haven't moved.

Global warming is not the best word for the whole situation. Climate change sums it all up much better. What is going to happen is that when earth temperatures rise, the temps on both land and sea will rise. As this happens, and the ice caps begin to melt, the ocean will begin to rise. When the cold water from the melting caps hits the hot ocean water, this will cause a change in the cycle of the ocean currents which are responsible for regulating heat around the world. When the warmer currents are disrupted by the colder water it will cause cold weather in the areas usually warmed by those currents.

whats going to happen is that the world is slowly going to heat up to the point were all of our water will evaporate. after all of the water is gone from every were the whole globe will be a giant desert unable to sustain life. congratulations those who waste you doomed us all.

I think there is just too much ocean water for all of it to evaporate yet...

Ice caps will melt, rising sea levels by a lot. That will eventually drown Florida and many other islands and peninsulas. I agree, thank you to all who are killing the Earth. Yes, one little piece of litter or one little cigarette butt won't do ANY harm.
