Why should you fill automobile tires with air not with water?

Water is way too heavy to put in tires, plus in the winter it will settle and freeze so your tires will be off balance. Also about the winter part, if you completely filled your tires with water and let the water freeze, the tires would explode, since water expands when it freezes.

How do you get to the lady in the ballroom on SOS island?

The water in the flooded hallway floats the heavy crate away from the ballroom door. This is why the cruise director is the 2nd person you have to save.

A man was driving in the rain then the truck began to skid out of control what happend between the road and the tires?

A layer of water formed to cause the tires to hydroplane, causing no traction on the road surface.

Slow down and plan for at least times the normal stopping distance if it begins to rain while you are driving?

Rain The first few drops of rain mean danger. Roads are most slippery just after the rain begins because oil dropped from cars has not been washed away. Slow down and plan for at least two times the normal stopping distance. In a heavy rain, your tires can ride on a thin film of water, like skis. This is called hydroplaning. When your tires are not touching the road, you can easily lose control and skid. Keep your tires on the road by slowing down when it rains, and by having tires with the right air pressure and good tread. Brakes often become wet after driving through deep water or driving in heavy rain. They may pull to one side or the other, or they may not hold at all. If this happens, slow down and gently push on the brake pedal until your brakes are working again.

Why would a car skid on a road?

The car skids less on a dry road due to greater friction between the tires and the alspahlt. Surfaces coated with water and ice have a lower coefficient of riction.

Why does your car slow down when I drive overa puddle of water?

It's probably your tires. maybe they automatically slow down when they go over water so u don't slip. it could also be your engine. I still say it is resistence. EDIT: Tires lose friction when driving over water and can hydroplane and slide.

What causes hydroplaning?

There are several causes for hydroplaning. 1. Driving to fast in the rain. 2. Water to deep on roadway. 3. Tires to worn out to drive on. ( no tread wear left ) 4. Driving right after a long drought and the water brings the oil to the surface of the road causing the road to be slick. 5. Turning your steering wheel to fast to make a turn in the rain. 6. Improper air pressure in tires. 7. Wrong type of tires on car or truck.

Why is driving in water dangerous?

Water reduces the connection your tires make with the road which heightens the risk of skidding or 'aquaplaning', plus you risk damages your car's engine. Deeper water can have a strong enough current to sweep your car away.
