What is the chemica lformula for tricalcium phosphate?

di hydrogen phosphate and sodium hydroxide

How bioavailable and useful is TriCalcium Phosphate as a form of dietary Calcium in humans?

The design was randomized crossover, within-subject. The subjects were 25 healthy premenopausal women in an academic health sciences center. Two commercially marketed calcium-fortified orange juices, ingested in an amount providing 500 mg calcium, were taken at breakfast after an overnight fast. The two fortification systems tested were calcium citrate malate and a combination of tricalcium phosphate and calcium lactate (tricalcium phosphate/calcium lactate). The main outcome measure was the area under the curve (AUC) for the increase in serum calcium from 0 to 9 hours after ingesting the test calcium source. Statistical analyses performed were repeated measures analysis of variance, testing source, and sequence. AUC 9 was 48% greater for calcium citrate malate than for tricalcium phosphate/calcium lactate ( P < .001); absorbed calcium calculated from AUC 9 values (mean+/-standard error of the mean) was 148+/-9.0 mg and 100+/-8.9 mg for calcium citrate malate and tricalcium phosphate/calcium lactate, respectively. The results indicate that equivalent calcium contents on a nutritional label do not guarantee equivalent nutritional value. Nutritionists and dietetics professionals should encourage manufacturers of fortified products to provide information on bioavailability.

What is the beta and gamma phosphate?

This is referring to the structure of nucleotide tri-phosphates. The structure of these molecules includes three phosphate groups. The first phosphate attached to the nucleotide (usually adenosine or guanine) is called the alpha phosphate. The second is called the beta, and the third the gamma. They are named after the first three letters of the Greek alphabet.

Is Monopotassium Phosphate ionic or molecular?

tricalcium phosphate is an ionic compound do to the fact that it is the bonding of a metal and a nonmetal. it is usually only a molecular compound if it is a bond between two nonmetals such as oxygen and hydrogen.

3CaP

Why tricalcium phosphate is inorganic?

Tricalcium phosphate is classified as inorganic because it does not contain carbon-hydrogen bonds, which are characteristic of organic compounds. Its chemical structure consists of calcium and phosphate ions, making it a mineral compound.

Is tricalcium phosphate ionic or covalent?

it is ionic because calcium is a metal and phosphorus is a gas.

What are the constituent elements of calcium phosphate?

Calcium phosphate is composed of calcium and phosphate ions. The ratio of these ions can vary, leading to different types of calcium phosphate compounds such as hydroxyapatite and tricalcium phosphate.

Is tricalcium phosphate bad for you?

Tricalcium phosphate is generally considered safe for consumption in small amounts as a food additive and commonly used in supplements. However, high doses of tricalcium phosphate can potentially lead to stomach issues or interfere with the absorption of certain minerals. It's best to follow recommended dosages and consult a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Is baby powder containing zea maysCorn Starch tricalcium phosphate aloe Barbadensis leaf extract Tocopheryl Acetate vitimin E Acetate fragrance harmful?

FACT: Even baby powder that says "pure cornstarch" on the label may contain Tricalcium Phosphate. Read the ingredients. Tricalcium Phosphate when inhaled is harmful. Here is the proof. This is a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) which states: "The substance is toxic to lungs, mucous membrane." http://www.gadotbio.com/var/124/1359-MSDS - TRI CALCIUM PHOSPHATE.pdf Frequent exposure may cause particulates to lodge in the lungs. One case showed crystallosis in the lymph glands of a woman who used dental powder containing Tricalcium Phosphate. Beta TCP has been banned, in some forms, for use as a bone filler. Use only pure cornstarch as baby powder, if you use anything. Rotate the bottle with your wrist intsead of shaking the bottle. The powder will tumble through the holes gently. Never shake the powder. ANY particulate can be unhealthy when inhaled.
