China
MethaneMan is the biggest emitter of methane, releasing 330 teragrams (megatons, or million tons) every year. This comes from energy production, landfills, cattle raising, waste treatment and the burning of biomass. This compares with 20 tg from termites, and 15 tg from the oceans.Carbon Dioxide (CO2)Nature emits most Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere, about 220 gigatons (thousand million tons) a year, though this is all removed by the carbon cycle. Human activities (the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and deforestation (cutting down trees which previously removed carbon dioxide from the atmosphere) is responsible for 11 gigatons a year. About 57% of this is removed by the carbon cycle (into the biosphere and the oceans) but the rest is gradually building up year by year with no way of removing it.
By volume it is nitrogen. Nitrogen form ~ 79% Oxygen forms ~ 20% The remaing 1% is composed of water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, ammonia, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and the noble(inert) gases. Although, humans live in 'fear and trembling' on the level of carbon dioxide in the atmopsphere, it is actually extremely low, by volume, compenent of the atmosphere.
The United States for decades was the largest emitter of greenhouse gas, but within the last few years has been eclipsed by China. Per capita, the US remains one of the larger emitters of CO2.

What nation is the largest emitter of carbon dioxide?
China is the largest emitter of CO2. It nearly doubles the next highest, the US.
The US was for decades the largest single emitter of greenhouse gas. In the last few years China recently eclipsed the US as the largest emitter. China has about 4 times the population of the United States.

The increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is a combination of increased input from vehicles and industry, and a decreased outtake due to large amounts of trees being cut down and not replaced.
Automobiles
This is the combustion of fossil fuels as coal, petroleum and derivates.
Emitter current is the sum of collector current & base current , hence the largest. Base current is the smallest.
Carbon dioxide in the oceans primarily comes from the atmosphere. Some of the carbon dioxide from the air dissolves into the ocean water. However, smaller amounts can come from respiration of sea animals and other miscellaneous sources. The atmosphere is by far the largest source of carbon dioxide in ocean water, though.
