Flat maps, unless they focus on polar regions, do not adequately depict the Antarctic continent (or the Arctic).
Because a flat map usually shows latitudes as lines parallel to the floor, and because there is no commerce or commercial value in Antarctica, the continent is depicted as a series of white, glacial continent edges at the bottom of the map. (This is especially true in northern-hemisphere-centric maps.)
Actually, Antarctica is a more-or-less circular continent, with a long arm (peninsula) that points to South America. It is about the same size as US and Mexico combined and occupies 10% of the earth's surface.
Here is a map:

Haiti has one Season.
Antarctica has a polar climate, with extremely cold temperatures, little precipitation, and strong winds. It experiences long, dark winters and short, cool summers.
Antarctica is a continent -- 10% of the earth's surface -- and will not melt. It's ice sheet, however, is subject to melting, and, it covers 98% of the continent. There is no way to determine how long it would take for all the ice to melt off the continent.
The Lambert Glacier in Antarctica is the largest glacier on earth. Its roughly 40 000 sq km (25 000 sq mi) in size.
The chain of sea floor mountains that stretches around the globe is known as the mid-ocean ridge. It is approximately 65,000 kilometers (40,389 miles) long and is the longest mountain range on Earth. The mid-ocean ridge is continuously formed by plate tectonics, where new oceanic crust is created as tectonic plates move apart.
the Earth is round so Antartica, being located on the southern pole, is more noticeably curbed than the other continents, but a map is flat so, to show all of Antarctica, they stretch it out and flatten it.
Antarctica. Further information: Whilst it is true that you can see icebergs in Antarctica all year long, Antarctica is a continent, not a country. Iceland has ice all year round, and icebergs are evident even in Summer.
The largest year-round patches of ice are in Greenland and Antarctica.
Antarctica should last as long as the earth lasts.
The word globe is a long vowel. It would be a short vowel if the word globe was spelled as "glob". Otherwise, it is a long vowel.
Antarctica is 10% of the earth's surface, so at least that long.
Summer in Antarctica lasts as long as summer lasts anywhere in the southern hemisphere.
Russia is a long way from Antarctica.
A day -- during any month in Antarctica -- is 24 hours long.
The advantages of globe are; 1) show us shape and size of continents and countries 2) Gives directions and distances without distortion 3) open use to plan long distance sea and air routes, called the great circle. 4) They are also use to determine the routes to satellites
Your answer depends on where you want to go in Antarctica.
I doubt that any helicopter can fly from Antarctica to Australia.
