Carbon dioxide occurs in various ways with the industrial processes being the main contributors. Transportation also emits carbon dioxide to the environment and that is why it is referred to as a necessary evil.

Predominantly in living organisms; their fossil remains such as oil and coal; carbonate minerals; and as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and oceans.

What might happen if there is too much carbon dioxide in the lithosphere?

When too much Carbon dioxide is present in the lithosphere, the surface will heat up. Not only will the lithosphere be effected, but the hydrosphere will be affected more compared to the damage caused in the lithosphere due to the gas Carbon dioxide. The worse part is that many natural calamities occur when the Carbon Dioxide in the lithosphere loses its balanceFact:The amount of Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is normally 0.04%. But eventually it has grown.

What is responsible for the greenhouse effect?

There are naturally occurring components of the atmosphere that are responsible for the greenhouse effect. The highest ranked greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide which accounts for 80% of the greenhouse effect.

Is oxygen supplied to the atmosphere by ozone?

NO!!! Oxygen is supplied to the atmosphere by green plant life. Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen naturally found in the upper atmosphere. All animals, humans included, breath in(inhale) oxygen and breath out (exhale) carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is a heavy gas, and falls to the ground. Where upon it is absorbed by green plant life ( grass /trees/bushes/ stems of flowers etc.,) Once absorbed by the plant and under the process of photosynthesis, the carbon dioxide is decomposed into oxygen and the carbon component remains in the plant as biomass. The oxygen is released back into the atmosphere for animals to breath. The process of photosynthesis only goes on during daylight hours, when there is UV light present. It does NOT occur aty night. It must be a very fast bio-chemical reaction because there is more oxygen in the atmosphere (~20%) than carbon dioxide ( much less than 1%) . This process is known as the 'Oxygen Cycle'. NB THere are also 'water cycle' , 'Nitrgen Cycle' and 'Carbon Cycle'. Ozone is formed from oxygen in the upper atmosphere, and is thought to protect us from extreme (UV) radiations from the Sun. Atmospheric oxygen has the formula (O=O) (O2). However, ozone has the formula (O3) Its structure is triangular, with each oxygen atom forming two single bonds to each of the other two oxygen atoms. Ozone, compared to oxygen, is poisonous to humans.

How does burning fossil fuel affect the rate of weathering?

Burning fossil fuels affect the rate of weathering by releasing carbon dioxide into the air, polluting theenvironment. As more carbon dioxide is released into the air, more carbonation can occur, creating more acids to weather the area's rocks.

What are carbon emissions?

The amount of CO2 released by humans has increased over the last 200 years. This increase is primarily due to using fossil fuels in industries and vehicles.

Where does co2 loading occur?

- carbon dioxide is released in the atmosphere: - part of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is absorbed by the biosphere - part of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is absorbed by body of waters

Is it true or false does the increased amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere may be causing global warming to occur at a faster than usual rate?

If your question is really about oxygen then it is false. And oxygen is not increasing in the atmosphere. If you are talking about carbon dioxide, a gas that IS increasing in the atmosphere, then it is true. Carbon dioxide is causing the speeding up of global warming.

What arecarbonated beverages?

Any beverage with dissolved carbon dioxide in it is "carbonated". This makes the drink bubbly, because when the beverage is opened the carbon dioxide can form bubbles and move to the surface. This can occur naturally (like champagne) or the carbon dioxide can be forced into the liquid at high pressure (like cola or soda water).

Where does krypton occur naturally?

Only in nature, in the atmosphere of the Earth.

Why are few cars good for the environment?

There are no good or bad cars. Internal combustion engines that use hydrocarbon fuels produce typically carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and water as byproducts along with some minor sulfur and phosphorous and nitrogen oxides. All of these products occur naturally in the atmosphere. Soils need the nitrogen compounds and plants need the carbon dioxide to grow. Phosphorous compounds are frequently fertilizer for marine plants, and carbon monoxide is a very unstable compound and will oxidixe to carbon dioxide given some time and exposure to sunlight.

When does aerobic occur?

in the presence of CO2 (Carbon dioxide)

Does dry ice occur naturally in space?

Dry ice (frozen or solid carbon dioxide) is found on the moons of Saturn and Jupiter. It is also a component of most comets.

Does the reduction of carbon dioxide occur during photosynthesis?

Plants use carbon dioxide to produce oxygen, so yes

What substance is least plentiful in the atmosphere?

At 0.3%, carbon dioxide is the least common gas in the Earth's atmosphere. This is in no way indicative of its lack of importance, since carbon dioxide is the primary source of life on earth and its concentration on earth's pre-industrial atmosphere has been regulated by photosynthetic organisms and is a principle supplier of greenhouse gases.

Which greenhouse gas are you releasing the most?

We are releasing carbon dioxide the most, and methane second. Other greenhouse gases, like water vapor, occur naturally and we cannot control them.

What cannot occur without carbon dioxide?

Growth of plants
