We know that oxygen is just a bit heavier than the air like carbon dioxide ,nitrogen etc.Besides that the main source of oxygen, the trees is in troposphere. Because of this reasons oxygen density is much heavier in troposphere than the stratosphere

Is the temperature in the stratosphere colder than in the troposphere?

In general, the temperature in the stratosphere is warmer than in the troposphere because the stratosphere absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the sun. The temperature inversion in the stratosphere creates a stabilizing effect on the atmosphere.

How much thicker is the stratosphere compared to the troposphere?

The stratosphere is typically about ten times thicker than the troposphere. It extends from about 10 to 50 kilometers above the Earth's surface, while the troposphere is only about 10-15 kilometers thick.

after the troposphere which layer of the atmosphere has the next coldest temperatures?

thermosphere

Why is ozone in stratosphere oxygen in troposphere when the mass of ozone is higher than oxygen?

Most of the oxygen in the atmosphere is O2, at any altitude. It's true that ozone molecules, O3, are heavier than regular oxygen gas O2, but mixtures of gases do not layer out by mass or density -- they thoroughly mix. In the stratosphere, however, the higher levels of ultraviolet radiation produce fresh ozone from diatomic oxygen, so ozone concentrations remain higher in this region.

How does ozone in the troposphere differ from ozone in the stratosphere?

Ozone in the troposphere is considered a pollutant and harmful to human health at ground level, while ozone in the stratosphere is beneficial as it forms the ozone layer that protects the Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. The mechanisms for forming and breaking down ozone also differ between the two layers.

Does Air exists in stratosphere zone?

Yes, air exists in the stratosphere, which is a layer of Earth's atmosphere located above the troposphere and below the mesosphere. The stratosphere contains a mixture of gases, including nitrogen, oxygen, and ozone.

Is there air pressure in the stratosphere?

One reason is because there is very little water vapor. The other is because air in the stratosphere is stable. This means that there is no inherent tendency for it to rise, since temperature increases with altitude.

Why there is no rain in the stratosphere?

There is no rain in the stratosphere because the amount of water in the stratosphere is much lower than in the lower atmosphere, which means the condensation of water vapour which creates rain doesn't occur in the atmosphere.

Are temperatures in the stratosphere warm?

No, they are colder than nearly anywhere on Earth's surface. They do tend to increase as you go up in the Stratosphere however, unlike in the Troposphere. This is because ozone in the Stratosphere absorbs solar radiation, but even this does not permit very much warming at all.

Why does temperature increase with height through the stratosphere?

Ozone absorbs more ultraviolet radiation than does air in the troposphere. As a result, the stratosphere is heated, and air gradually increases in temperature to the top of the layer, called the startopause.

Convection occurs in the troposphere but not in the stratosphere because?

Because of the temperature in the troposphere that decreases as the altitude also lowers, convection only happens on it and not in the stratosphere. Also, because of the warm air from the land that is rising to the troposphere it becomes denser than the air above it that makes convection only happen in the said layer.

Why is the temperature in the upper stratosphere is higher than the temperature in the lower stratosphere?

because the upper part of the stratosphere is closer to the sun, which means the temperature is higher or greater in the upper part.:);)
