Is propanol a good or effective fuel and why?

propanol is a good fuel because it has a high octane rating, which increases its fuel efficiency, however it is very expensive so not a common fuel.

What is the current price of Hydrogen fuel?

The Answer Is The Cost Is 25000000 And that's the answer.

Which is a byproduct of using hydrogen fuel?

The only byproduct of using pure hydrogen as a fuel is water, often in vapor form.

When was hydrogen first used?

hydrogen was first exploited as a fuel in Aviation in the 1920's and 30's. German engineers used it as a Booster fuel in the zeppelins" (page 182 of the hydrogen economy by Jeremy Rifkin). hydrogen was first exploited as a fuel in Aviation in the 1920's and 30's. How is hydrogen produced commercially?

"electrifying water to separate the oygen and the hydrogen" (aka electrolysis) is very expensive and is only used to create laboratory grade hydrogen. According to this source: http://www.thenewatlantis.com/publications/the-hydrogen-hoax most commercial hydrogen is created from hydrocarbons, like natural gas and petroleum byproducts. The author of this article claims that creating hydrogen this way creates more CO2 than burning the hydrocarbons for fuel directly.

Why doesn't anyone use hydrogen fuel cells?

They are too expensive and are hard to find.

Are Hydrogen fuel cells expensive?

Possibly. Hydrogen car cost more then hybrid cars. But as of today, those cars are possibly in development.

How much does a hydrogen car cost?

The Honda Clarity cost $300,000 each, but hydrogen fuel cells are expensive to produce and some are fragile.

What are some disadvantages of hydrogen energy.?

Hydrogen Energy is currently more expensive than any other fuel source, there is also no existing infrastructure to accommodate a Hydrogen fuel cell. The process for extracting Hydrogen to be used also usually requires the use of burning fossil fuels, thus creating pollution. Then there is the fact Hydrogen is both hard to store and distribute.

What is a bad thing about hydrogen fuel cells?

There are two problems with hydrogen fuel cells. One is that the cars that run off of hydrogen fuel cells are very expensive to make another thing is that hydrogen storage is not easy. The work and money it would take to put up hydrogen stations around the country for cars is too much to even consider it. Also another problem with hydrogen is te oil companies that don't wanna lose their business.

Is hydrogen affected by the sun?

no hydrogen is not affected by the sun because hydrogen can be combined with helium it creates a fuel source but it is not affected by hydrogen by it self so no hydrogen is not affected by the sun

What are some pros and cons of fuel cells?

Some pros of fuel cells are that it is: -efficient -produces no odor, no noise -reliable -environmentally friendly -is indefinetely renewable, as long as hydrogen is harvested Some cons of fuel cells are: - fuel cells are expensive -you have to harvest hydrogen, which is hard -The volume of the fuel cells are larger than the average internal combustion engine.

Why do not burn hydrogen instead of gasoline in car engine?

Hydrogen fuel cells are very expensive to build. They cannot operate below freezing. They require a large storage container. There is no infrastructure for refueling.

What are wastes of hydrogen fuel cells?

combustion of fuel needs O2 so hydrogen fuel cell's combustion formula is: 2 H2 + O2 --> 2 H2O the product (waste) is water molecule

Why is petrol more expensive than any other fuels?

Because its not a regular fuel and it is not a fuel also water in now a days so it very expensive

What is the byproduct of hydrogen fuel cell?

Water is the benefit of a hydrogen fuel cell ;)
