What adaptations do tropical rainforest animals have to survive?

Adaptations are special features that allow a plant or animal to survive in a particular location. Animals that are adapted to life in the rainforest must be able to handle a lot of rainfall in an area with a tremendous amount of plants. They should be able to eat foods no other animal could and they are adapted to handle very warm temperatures.

How have people adapted in the rainforest?

People in the rainforest sweat less because it is very humid in the rainforest and they dont drink as much water because their food contains enough water for them to survive on. The people who live in the rainforest are also often shorter e.g. Pygmies because their food is limited and they cant get all the right nutrients for them to grow properly.

What is the difference between a rainforest and a jungle?

• Rainforests receive a much higher rainfall than grasslands get.• Rainforests provide homes for much more species than grasslands would offer.• Main vegetation of rainforests is woody plants while grasslands have herbaceous (non-woody) plants.• There are only two types of rainforests, whereas grasslands are of five main types depending on the climatic conditions.• Rainforests have high density of plants with different heights, whereas grasslands barely have trees and all the bushes are usually short.• The humidity is higher inside rainforests than in grasslands.• Rainforests are stable ecosystems while grasslands and not stable.Read more: http://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-rainforest-and-vs-grassland/#ixzz2lhmMJ7Un

How have animals adapted to survive in the Amazon rainforest?

Rainforst animals survive much like we do. They eat billions of insects a day, they eat some plants, some fruits and other vegetables. Whatever they want to eat, they can pick and choose They usually build homes whether it be a bird making a nest or just a hole in a log, but the animals try to keep protected from the rain and to stay drive by making or using an existing shelter. There is enough water for them to drink. Probably the most important way they survive is by not being eaten by other bugs. Some of the bugs have fake eyes to fool the predators. Some of the bugs spray poison. Some bugs sting, like bees.
